Life can take over and before you know it years go by and your health isn't what it should be. It can be so frustrating because your well-being depends on your good health. Not a single one of us can outpace father time, but we can slow down the aging process, and it's a lot easier than you might realize.
There's just one catch...you have to want it. You have to buck the status quo that it's "normal" to have hypertension, high blood sugar, high cholesterol, gout, arthritis, aches and pains, frequent doctor visits, and a medicine cabinet full of prescription medications. It's all because no one has taught us how to age because aging happens whether we like it or not.
Wouldn't it be a lot better to be active well into your senior years, playing golf, traveling, and just being able to live an active life? If you're okay with using a walker and wearing adult diapers in your 70's then who am I to judge? But if you want to spend your twilight years enjoying your grown children and grand kids, and experiencing everyday with confidence that you can move well and are strong, isn't that much better?
I've been a fitness professional for over twenty years, and a fitness business owner since 2006. I am passionate about helping people take charge of their health by educating them how to take control over their own process.
I spent twenty-one years of my life working in the corporate sector where my body slowly broke down from the high-stress and from sitting at a desk most of the day. Over a ten-year period I gained thirty-five pounds, and to make matters worse I developed chronic knee and low-back pain, overloaded adrenals, skin eruptions, intestinal parasites, and insomnia. I was a hot mess. Two weeks before my fortieth birthday I had had enough and made the decision to reclaim my health. I didn't have a clue how to accomplish that. I just knew that I no longer wanted to live this way and that it was time to do something about it.
For my 40th birthday my wife gave me a one-year gym membership, and that is where my journey began. It's a long story, but the end result is that "I have a message that comes out of my own mess." You see, I know what it feels like to step on the bathroom scale and slowly watch the numbers go up over time. I know what it's like to bounce from diet-to-diet, lose a few pounds and then gain them all back...plus a few more. I know what it feels like when clothes no longer fit. And I know what it feels like to chase chronic pin in your knees and low back for almost twenty years. All of it really sucks.
I practice and teach methods that help people slow down the aging process so that they can live more active lives, get lean and strong, and stay that way! My job is to ensure that your body is at its very best. I will coach you to your desired state of health and help you take over and manage on your own. Not only will you know what to do, you will have the mindset and skills to champion your health and fitness for the rest of your life.
